High Tide #5
May 15-18, 2025

The fifth annual High Tide weekend will take place from May 15-May 18, 2025

This year will be a little different. Our hosts, Cherry Clouds Oasis, are out of the event hosting business and have removed all those legendary theme trailers from the property.
Fortunately, we have permission to continue hosting High Tide as a "private event among friends."

The new fee is $60 per person, (Venmo @HighTideCamp)
The boat, glamping tent, and bus are still available. Priority booking is for folks who need to travel light. Contact T directly for details.

We will gather at Cherry Clouds Oasis on the East edge of Death Valley. Location is one hour west of Las Vegas. GPS coordinates are:
35°57'28.2"N 115°55'08.7"W
35.957829, -115.919074
For those flying in, Las Vegas is just over an hour away. Rent a car, pick up some groceries, and head on over. From touchdown to get-down is just a couple of hours!

This is the desert! Plan for dry, hot, cold, and dusty weather, though conditions in May are pretty perfect. Bring at least 5 gallons of water per person, ice, goggles, and warm clothes for the night.

High Tide is our fifth annual Burn-inspired event in Death Valley. Like Burning Man, we engage in radical self sufficiency, leave-no-trace environmentalism, and as much creativity as you like!
Unlike the Burn, there are some structures permanently in place, including a marooned boat, camping kitchen, shower, dancefloor, and a pink porto.
There is a Russian banya, a hot spring, and a waterfall hike nearby, for those inspired to explore.

This event is by invitation only. Please ask the organizers before inviting others.

This year we will be leaning into radical self sufficiency. With the trailers no longer available, we will all be responsible for our own camping setup. If you need help making this work, please talk to us. We're committed to bringing back every one of our High Tide people and are available to help figure out logistics.
As always, there will be a sign-up for meal shares and you are encouraged to contribute art, activities, etc. Previous shares/gifts have included music, cocktails, bodywork, fire spinning, art projects, photography, etc.

Bring your own labeled cup/dishes/cutlery to reduce waste and clean-up efforts.
